Cashing out crypto

The fastest way to cash out crypto: real timings for every coin and payout (2026)

Every crypto cashout runs on two clocks, and most people only watch one of them.

Quick answer

The fastest way to cash out crypto is to send a coin that settles in seconds, such as Solana, XRP or BNB, or USDT on Tron at about a minute, to a payout that lands minutes after confirmation: PayPal, Cash App, Revolut, a virtual Visa card or a gift card. That combination usually finishes in 5 to 15 minutes. Bitcoin adds 10 to 30 minutes of confirmation, and US bank payouts by ACH take 1 to 2 business days.

The first clock stops when the network confirms your coins. The second stops when the money lands. The full process is in how to cash out crypto.

This guide times both: how long each coin really takes to confirm, and how long each payout rail takes to arrive.

Then come the five things that turn a 10-minute cashout into a two-day one, and how to sidestep each.

How long does a crypto cashout take from start to finish?

From a few minutes to two business days. The total is the sum of up to four waits, and only two of them happen on every cashout.

1Coins leaveExchange queue, if any
2Network confirmsSeconds to 30 minutes
3Order checkedA person reviews it
4Payout landsMinutes to 2 business days
The four waits. From your own wallet, the first one disappears.

From coins sent to money received

Solana to a virtual VisaAbout 5 minutes
USDT on Tron to PayPalAbout 5 to 10 minutes
Bitcoin to a SEPA bankAbout 1.5 to 2.5 hours
Three typical Zilligo combinations on one time scale. ACH would run off the right edge: 1 to 2 business days.

Which crypto confirms fastest?

Solana, XRP and BNB settle in seconds. USDT on Tron takes about a minute. Bitcoin and Monero are the slowest of the common coins.

Speed comes down to two numbers per chain: how often it adds a block, and how many blocks a receiver waits for before it treats a payment as final.

CoinNew block everyWhen it counts as finalTypical wait
SolanaAbout 0.4 secondsAfter 32 slotsAbout 13 seconds
XRP3 to 5 secondsWhen the ledger closesSeconds
BNB (BEP-20)0.75 secondsFast finalityAbout 2 seconds
USDT on Tron3 secondsOnce 19 of 27 block producers build on itAbout 1 minute
Ethereum and USDT on Ethereum12 secondsFull finality after two epochs1 to 15 minutes, by receiver
MoneroAbout 2 minutesAfter 10 blocksAbout 20 minutes
BitcoinAbout 10 minutes, on averageAfter 1 to 3 or more blocks, by receiver10 to 30 minutes, longer with a low fee

Network figures from each chain's documentation and upgrade notes. BNB Smart Chain moved to 0.75-second blocks in June 2025. Ethereum receivers differ: some credit after a few blocks, others wait for finality at about 13 minutes.

Typical confirmation wait, in minutes

Solana, XRP, BNBSeconds
USDT on TronAbout a minute
Ethereum, USDT on Ethereum1 to 15 minutes
MoneroAbout 20 minutes
Bitcoin10 to 30 minutes
Typical times on a normal day, drawn to scale. A busy network or a low fee can make any coin slower.

For most people USDT on Tron is the practical choice: about a minute to confirm, and its value stays near $1 while you wait, so the amount doesn't drift.

Which payouts land fastest once your coins confirm?

Money apps, cards, gift cards and phone top-ups usually land within minutes. Bank rails are slower, and US ACH counts in business days.

Time after your coins confirmZilligo payouts
Usually minutesPayPal, Cash App, Venmo, Skrill, Neteller, Wise, Revolut, Monzo, gift cards, virtual Visa, Paysafecard, mobile top-up
About 1 to 2 hoursSEPA transfer, N26
Same dayPayoneer, Western Union, MoneyGram
1 to 2 business daysACH transfer, Chime

Usual times, not guarantees. Every order is checked by a person first, and that check is included in these times for routine orders.

Bank rails differ a lot by country. Since 9 October 2025, every bank in the euro area must be able to send euro transfers that arrive within 10 seconds, at any hour. US ACH still runs on business days.

Fast doesn't have to mean expensive. Revolut and Monzo are among the quickest payouts and cost our lowest fee. Every route's cost is compared in the cheapest way to cash out crypto.

Why do Bitcoin cashouts stall, and how do you prevent it?

Almost always because of a low fee. Pick your wallet's standard or fast fee, never the cheapest setting.

Bitcoin adds a block about every 10 minutes, and miners fill each one with the best-paying transactions first. On a busy day a low-fee payment can wait behind them for hours.

The lowest fee

  • Saves cents to a dollar or two
  • Waits while better-paying transactions go first
  • Can sit unconfirmed for hours
  • Can outlast the 20-minute rate on your order

A standard fee

  • Usually under $1 to a few dollars
  • Usually confirms in 10 to 30 minutes
  • Normally lands inside your rate window
  • The payout starts on time
The saving from the cheapest fee rarely makes up for the wait.

Most wallets offer a fee choice on the send screen. For a cashout, skip the slowest option.

Already stuck? If your wallet supports replace-by-fee (RBF), you can resend the same payment with a higher fee so miners pick it up sooner.

How much time does an exchange add?

Sometimes nothing, sometimes a day. Withdrawal queues, reviews and holds on newly added addresses all happen before your coins reach the network.

Selling on the exchange itself adds waits of its own. Kraken, for example, credits a Bitcoin deposit after three confirmations, and its free US ACH withdrawals take 0 to 2 business days, with a 2 pm ET cut-off.

  1. 0 min
    Bitcoin sent to an exchange

The deposit waits for the exchange's required confirmations.

  2. About 30 to 45 min
    Deposit credited, coins sold

    The sale itself takes seconds.

  3. Same day
    Bank withdrawal requested

Before the cut-off, or it moves to the next business day.

  4. 0 to 2 business days
    Money in the bank

By ACH; a wire can be faster for a fee.

An example exchange route, using Kraken's published times. Other exchanges set their own confirmations and cut-offs.

The fix is to move coins to your own wallet a day early if you plan to send them anywhere else. The exchange's hold is then already behind you when the order clock starts.

Do weekends and bank holidays slow a crypto cashout?

For US bank payouts, yes. ACH and Chime count business days, so a cashout sent on a Friday evening usually lands the following Monday or Tuesday.

  1. Fri 7:00 pm
    Order created

Bitcoin sent with the cheapest fee to an ACH payout.

  2. Fri 9:30 pm
    The coins finally confirm

The payout goes out, after the banks' cut-off.

  3. Sat and Sun
    No business days

    The transfer waits.

  4. Mon or Tue
    Money arrives

1 to 2 business days after it was sent.

A worked example using typical times. Federal holidays add days in the same way.

The same money sent to Cash App or Venmo that Friday would usually land within minutes, for half a percent more:

Example: $1,000 on a Friday night: minutes or next week?

Cash App fee (1.5%)$15.00
ACH fee (1%)$10.00
Extra cost to have it within minutes$5.00

A worked example. Cash App orders go up to $2,500, and the network fee is the same either way.

Which small mistakes cost the most time?

A wrong detail, a short amount or a missed rate window. Each one turns an automatic cashout into a manual fix.

Payout: $300.00 to your Revolut account

A new order waits for your payment, and the 20-minute rate starts counting down at once. Have your wallet open first.

Ready before you create the order

  • Your coins are in your own wallet, not waiting on an exchange.
  • You hold enough for the order plus the network fee.
  • Your payout details are copied, not typed: email, IBAN, or routing and account numbers.
  • The receiving name matches the account or the collector's ID exactly.
  • Your receiving account is verified for the amount.
  • For Bitcoin, you'll choose a standard or fast fee.

After you send, your order page moves from "Waiting for your payment" to "Payment received, confirming", then "Payout on its way" and "Payout sent". Every status is explained on how it works.

Now it is your turn

A fast cashout is two good choices: a coin that confirms in seconds and a payout that lands in minutes.

Prepare before the 20 minutes start, skip Bitcoin's cheapest fee and keep bank weekends in mind.

Frequently asked questions

Which crypto confirms the fastest?

Solana, XRP and BNB settle in seconds. USDT on Tron takes about a minute. Ethereum takes 1 to 15 minutes depending on how many blocks the receiver waits for, Monero about 20 minutes and Bitcoin usually 10 to 30.

Can I cash out crypto to my bank the same day?

In Europe, yes: Zilligo's SEPA and N26 payouts usually land in about 1 to 2 hours, and Revolut and Monzo in minutes. US bank payouts by ACH or Chime take 1 to 2 business days; Cash App or Venmo land in minutes instead.

Why is my Bitcoin cashout still unconfirmed?

Usually because the network fee was low and miners are confirming better-paying transactions first. If your wallet supports replace-by-fee, resend with a higher fee. Otherwise it confirms once the network quietens.

What happens if my coins arrive after the 20 minutes?

The order shows Expired. A payment that arrives within 24 hours can still be matched, so contact support with your order reference and the transaction ID.

Is the fastest cashout more expensive?

Not necessarily. Revolut and Monzo land in minutes and cost 1%, the lowest Zilligo fee. PayPal, Cash App and Venmo are just as quick at 1.5%, and the virtual Visa at 2%.

What is the fastest way to get paper cash from crypto?

A Bitcoin ATM is quickest if one is nearby, but it often costs 10% to 20% or more. Western Union or MoneyGram pickup is usually ready the same day for 1.5% plus their transfer cost, shown in the quote, and the collector shows photo ID that matches the order.
