Cash out crypto in Turkey, where PayPal does not work.

PayPal left Türkiye in 2016 and Wise accounts are not offered there yet. Payoneer to your Turkish bank, Amazon.com.tr codes, a virtual Visa and cash pickup still work.

The short answer

To cash out crypto in Turkey with Zilligo, choose Payoneer, send your coins, and withdraw to Ziraat, İş Bankası, Garanti BBVA or another Turkish bank in lira; Payoneer pays out the same day your coins confirm. To spend instead, take an Amazon.com.tr code, a virtual Visa for foreign sites, or credit for a Turkcell, Vodafone or Türk Telekom line. Western Union and MoneyGram pay cash. Our fees run from 1% to 2%.

Local context

Why cashing out in Türkiye takes more planning than it used to

Plenty of people in Türkiye keep their savings in USDT as a hedge against the lira and convert only what they need. The usual exit is a Turkish exchange: sell for lira, then withdraw to your IBAN over FAST or EFT.

Since mid-2025 that route comes with tighter rules. Exchanges are licensed by the Capital Markets Board under a 2024 law, and anti-money-laundering rules let Turkish platforms hold withdrawals for 48 hours (72 for a first one) and cap stablecoin transfers to other platforms at $3,000 a day. Crypto still cannot be used to pay for goods.

PayPal is off the table, since it has not operated in Türkiye since 2016, and Wise does not offer accounts there yet. Payoneer is the bank bridge that works: we pay your Payoneer, and you withdraw to your Turkish bank when it suits you.

Local bank payoutsPlanned

Direct payouts to Turkish banks over FAST or EFT are planned, not live. For now Payoneer withdraws to banks such as Ziraat Bankası, Türkiye İş Bankası and Garanti BBVA.

Watch out

Options to skip in Türkiye

A few popular choices simply do not reach people living in Türkiye.

PayPal

PayPal has not operated in Türkiye since 2016, so there is no Turkish PayPal account to receive a payout.

Wise

You can send money to Türkiye with Wise, but Wise accounts are not available to residents yet, so a Wise payout cannot land.

Google Play and Apple codes

Our Google Play codes cover other countries and our Apple codes only the US and India. None will redeem on a Turkish account.

Local tips

Local know-how in Türkiye

  1. 1

Free your coins before you order

If your USDT sits on a Turkish exchange, wait out its withdrawal hold and daily stablecoin cap first. Your quote is held for 20 minutes, so start the order once the coins can actually move.

  2. 2

Choose Amazon.com.tr in the store list

Codes only work in the store they are bought for. Pick the Turkish store so the code lands on your account.

  3. 3

    Check Payoneer's lira rate

Payoneer shows its conversion and fee before you confirm a withdrawal. Compare the lira amount with the market rate first.

  4. 4

Use +90 and drop the zero

    0532 123 45 67 becomes +90 532 123 45 67 for a mobile top-up.

  5. 5

Name the receiver as on their ID

For cash pickup, write the full name exactly as on their kimlik kartı or passport. Western Union pays out at PTT branches and many banks.

Questions

Questions people ask in Türkiye

Still deciding? Message our team and a real person will help.

Can I cash out crypto to PayPal in Turkey?

No. PayPal has not operated in Türkiye since 2016. Payoneer is the working alternative for a bank withdrawal.

How do I get USDT into my Turkish bank?

Cash out to Payoneer with Zilligo, then withdraw to your Turkish bank in lira. Direct FAST payouts are planned.

Do the 2025 transfer limits affect me?

They are rules for Turkish crypto platforms, so they matter when your coins leave one: expect a hold and a daily stablecoin cap there. Sending from your own wallet is a different case, but check the current rules for your situation.

Is crypto taxed in Turkey?

Proposals in 2026 to tax crypto sales and gains were debated in parliament, and parts were withdrawn. The picture can change quickly. This is general information, not tax advice: keep your records and check with a Turkish tax adviser.

Can I buy Amazon.com.tr gift cards with crypto?

Yes. Choose Amazon, pick the Amazon.com.tr store, and the code comes by email. $50 to $1,000 per order.

Can I top up Turkcell, Vodafone or Türk Telekom?

Choose Mobile Top-Up and type the number with +90. Orders run $50 to $300 at a 1% fee.

Why is Steam priced in dollars in Turkey?

Valve moved Türkiye to US dollar pricing in November 2023 and converted lira wallets to dollars. Steam codes convert to your wallet's currency when you redeem.

Can someone collect cash in Turkey?

Yes. Western Union and MoneyGram both pay cash in Türkiye. The receiver brings a valid photo ID and the reference we send you, and the name must match the ID.
