Exchange, P2P or payout: choosing your exit in Indonesia

Indonesia has its own licensed exchanges, supervised by OJK since January 2025, and plenty of people simply sell there and withdraw rupiah. If your coins already sit on one and you have finished its checks, that is a short path.

It gets awkward when they do not: USDT from a client abroad, coins in your own wallet, or a balance on a foreign platform. Since August 2025, sales through foreign platforms carry a 1% final tax against 0.21% on local ones, and P2P buyers can pull back a bank transfer after you have released the coins.

A payout is the third way out. You send coins once, we pay PayPal or Payoneer, and you withdraw to your bank. PayPal's withdrawals to an Indonesian bank are free above Rp1,500,000 and cost Rp16,000 below that (October 2026).

Can I cash out USDT straight to BCA?

Can you pay GoPay, OVO or DANA?

Not directly. Withdraw from PayPal or Payoneer to your bank, then top up the e-wallet from your bank app.

How long does it take?

PayPal, top-ups and codes usually arrive within minutes of your coins confirming; Payoneer and cash pickup the same day. The bank withdrawal afterwards runs on PayPal's or Payoneer's own timing.

Which networks can I top up?

The big three are Telkomsel, Indosat (IM3 and Tri) and XLSmart, which merged XL, Axis and Smartfren in 2025. Choose Mobile Top-Up and type the number with +62; orders run $50 to $300.

Is crypto legal in Indonesia?
