The short answer

To cash out crypto in Brazil with Zilligo, choose PayPal or Wise, send your coins from any wallet, and move the balance to your Brazilian bank, where Pix takes over. Both usually arrive within minutes of your coins confirming. To spend in dollars abroad, a virtual Visa loaded from crypto costs 2%, plus $10 on your first card, and recarga and Google Play codes come straight from your coins. We cannot pay by Pix directly yet.

Local context

Pix is the finish line. The question is how you reach it.

Almost every payment in Brazil ends in Pix, and most crypto exits do too: sell on a Brazilian exchange, withdraw by Pix. If your coins already sit on one and your account is verified, that is usually the shortest path, and we will say so.

It gets harder when your crypto is in your own wallet or came from a client abroad. Since February 2026 the Central Bank treats crypto firms like other regulated institutions, folds cross-border crypto transfers into its foreign exchange rules, and expects platforms to know more about the self-custody wallets they deal with.

A payout skips the exchange. We pay your PayPal or Wise and you move the money to your bank. Our orders are priced in US dollars, so PayPal or Wise converts to reais at its own rate; PayPal lists a 3.5% margin above its base rate for payments received in another currency.

Local bank payoutsPlanned

Direct Pix payouts are planned, not live. For now PayPal and Wise withdraw to banks such as Nubank, Itaú Unibanco and Banco do Brasil, where the money is ready for Pix.

Watch out

Before you try these in Brazil

These trip people up in Brazil more than anything else.

Amazon gift cards

None of the eight Amazon stores we sell codes for is Amazon.com.br, so a code will not work on a Brazilian account.

Apple gift cards

Our Apple codes are for US and Indian accounts only. A Brazilian Apple account will not redeem them.

Venmo, Cash App and Chime

All three need an American account, so they cannot pay anyone living in Brazil.

Local tips

Good habits in Brazil

  1. 1

    Pay dollar bills in dollars

Foreign purchases on a Brazilian card carry IOF, set at 3.5% since 2025. The virtual Visa is paid from crypto you already hold, so there is no Brazilian card bill in the middle. Check how the tax rules apply to you.

  2. 2

Recarga needs +55 and the DDD

    (11) 91234-5678 becomes +55 11 91234 5678. Leave out the leading zero and any carrier code.

  3. 3

    Watch the R$35,000 month

Crypto gains can be taxed when your sales in a calendar month pass R$35,000. Keep your order pages so the figures are easy to report.

  4. 4

Test Wise with a small order

Wise may return money it ties to crypto. Start with the $500 minimum before you send a larger amount, or go straight to PayPal.

  5. 5

    Prefer USDT on Tron

It costs a couple of dollars to send, confirms in a few minutes, and holds its dollar value while it does.

Questions

Crypto cashouts in Brazil: FAQ

Question about your country? Get in touch, replies usually come within the hour.

Can I cash out crypto by Pix?

Not directly yet. Cash out to PayPal or Wise, move the money to your Brazilian bank, and from there Pix works as normal.

Is a Brazilian exchange a better option?

If your coins are already on one and your account is verified, selling there and withdrawing by Pix is usually the most direct route. A payout suits coins in your own wallet, or when you want to spend in dollars.

Does PayPal work in Brazil?

Yes. Brazilian PayPal accounts can receive money and withdraw to a local bank in reais. PayPal sets its own conversion and withdrawal fees, so check them before you order.

Do I pay IOF with the virtual Visa?

IOF is charged by Brazilian card issuers on foreign purchases, and the virtual Visa is not a Brazilian card. Brazil's rules on crypto used across borders changed in 2026, so check how they apply to you.

How is crypto taxed in Brazil?

Individuals pay 15% to 22.5% on gains when total crypto sales in a month exceed R$35,000, and the Receita's new DeCripto reporting starts in July 2026. This is general information, not tax advice: keep your records and check with an accountant.

Can I top up Vivo, Claro or TIM with crypto?

Yes. Choose Mobile Top-Up and type the number with +55 and the area code. Orders run $50 to $300 at a 1% fee.

Which gift cards work in Brazil?

Google Play codes for the Brazilian store, and Steam wallet codes, which convert to your Steam wallet's currency. $50 to $500 an order.

Can family collect cash in Brazil?

Yes. Western Union and MoneyGram both pay out cash at agents in Brazil. The receiver brings a valid photo ID matching the name on the order and the reference we send you.
