Local context
Euros on your statement like any other transfer
Every German bank account has an IBAN and takes SEPA, so this is the most direct cashout we offer anywhere: a plain euro transfer to your Girokonto. It works the same at a Sparkasse or Volksbank, the large private banks, and online banks such as N26 or DKB.
Since 9 October 2025, banks in the euro area compare the name on a transfer with the name held for the IBAN. Type the account holder's name the way your bank shows it on statements. A nickname, a dropped middle name or a missing umlaut can be flagged as a mismatch.
Germany's crypto tax rule is unusually clear. Coins held for more than a year can generally be sold tax-free. Sell sooner and the gain counts as a private sale: if all such gains in a year stay below €1,000 they are untaxed, but cross that line and the whole amount is taxable. Since 1 January 2026, crypto platforms in the EU also record customer transactions for reporting to tax offices. This is general information, so check with a Steuerberater.
Prefer cash in hand? Western Union transfers can now be collected at many Deutsche Post branches and other Western Union agents, with a valid ID and the MTCN.

How do I cash out crypto to my German bank account?
Choose SEPA, enter your IBAN and the account holder's name, then send the coins your order page shows. Once they confirm, we send the euros by SEPA transfer.
How long does a SEPA payout take?
Usually 1 to 2 hours after your coins confirm, on banking days. USDT on Tron, Solana and XRP confirm in a minute or two; Bitcoin usually takes 10 to 30 minutes.
Is selling crypto tax-free in Germany?
Generally yes after more than a year of holding. Within a year, gains are taxable once your private sale gains reach €1,000 in that year. This is general information, not tax advice: check with a Steuerberater.
Do I receive euros?
Yes. SEPA transfers are paid in euros. Orders are priced in US dollars, and your quote shows the payout before you send.
Can I cash out to N26 or Revolut?
Yes. N26 is paid by SEPA to your IBAN, and Revolut to your Revtag, email or phone, both for 1%.
What does it cost?
1% for SEPA, included in your quote, plus your coin's network cost: a fraction of a cent on Solana or XRP, about $2 to $4 for USDT on Tron.
Can someone collect cash in Germany?
Yes. Western Union and MoneyGram transfers are ready the same day. Western Union cash can be collected at many Deutsche Post branches with a valid ID and the MTCN.
