Crypto in high-inflation countries: save in USDT, spend in dollars

In countries where prices climb every month, many people keep savings in USDT, a stablecoin that tracks the US dollar, and convert only what they need. Zilligo turns USDT into a dollar virtual Visa for 2%, plus $10 on your first card, or into a PayPal balance, a gift card or a cash pickup for 1.5%, from $50 an order for gift cards and $100 for the rest.

Your situation

When prices keep rising: what matters

Official figures show how quickly money shrinks. Consumer prices in Argentina were 33.4% higher in September 2026 than a year earlier, and in Turkey 29.77% higher in October 2026. Savings left in pesos or lira lose a large part of their buying power within a year.

A dollar stablecoin avoids that, with a risk of its own: USDT is issued by a private company, not a central bank. The usual routine is to keep the bulk in a wallet you control and cash out small sums in dollars when a bill or purchase comes up.

Step by step

A weekly routine that works

  1. 1

    Keep savings in USDT

Hold most of it as USDT on Tron in a wallet only you control, rather than on an exchange or with a stranger.

  2. 2

    Convert what the week needs

Open an order for that amount alone. Orders start at $50 for gift cards and top-ups, and $100 for the card and PayPal.

  3. 3

    Spend dollars as dollars

Use the virtual Visa or PayPal where prices are in dollars, so the money is not converted a second time.

  4. 4

Start a new order next time

Each card load is a new card, so open a fresh order for the next purchase instead of topping up the old one.

Good to know

Keep more of your savings

Group small needs

With a $50 or $100 minimum and a network fee on every transfer, one order for the week costs less than several tiny ones.

Know the stablecoin risk

USDT tracks the dollar, but a private firm runs it and its price has dipped below one dollar for short spells. This is general information, not financial advice.

Check the local rules

Some countries restrict or tax crypto and foreign currency. Learn the rules where you live before moving savings.

Questions

Common questions

The fee for each payout is listed on our fees page.

Why USDT rather than Bitcoin?

USDT is designed to stay near one dollar, so its value holds while you wait to spend it. Bitcoin can move sharply within a few days.

Can I pay in dollars without a US bank account?

Yes. The virtual Visa and PayPal let you pay in dollars online with no US bank involved.

How much do fees take?

2% on the virtual Visa, plus $10 on your first card, and 1.5% on PayPal, gift cards and cash pickup, with Western Union and MoneyGram's transfer cost on top. Then add your coin's network fee, usually about $2 to $4 for USDT on Tron.

Which gift cards work in my country?

A code only redeems in its own store or country. Google Play codes cover 11 countries, Amazon codes eight stores including Amazon.com.tr, and Apple codes the US and India.

Is this financial advice?

No. It explains payout options. Stablecoins and other crypto carry risks of their own.
